Bulk templates & scheduled edits
Bulk templates apply one change across many products at once - without editing cell by cell. Select rows in the bulk editor (or filter, then use Edit filtered) and click Edit selected to open the template picker. Templates include percent or fixed discounts, price increases, compare-at anchoring, status, tags, and inventory. Price templates can round results to .99 endings or whole numbers.
Every template shows a preview first: how many rows change, a sample of old → new values, and which rows are skipped (with reasons). Applying a template only stages pending edits in the grid - nothing is written to Shopify until you press Save, and the whole template is one undo step.
Scheduling an edit (paid plans)
- Select products and click Edit selected.
- Choose a template (e.g. 20% off with .99 endings) and click Preview changes.
- On the preview step, tick Schedule for later instead of applying now.
- Pick a run time, and optionally an auto-revert time - ideal for weekend sales that should end on their own.
Scheduled edits run in the background at the chosen time, appear in Edit History, and auto-revert restores the previous values when the sale ends. Manage or cancel pending jobs under Scheduled edits in the app navigation. Each scheduled edit can target up to 5,000 products. Edits up to 500 products start right at the chosen time; larger edits run through Shopify's bulk pipeline and may start up to ~30 minutes late if another bulk operation (such as a large save or CSV export) is in progress for your shop. Starter supports up to 3 pending scheduled edits, Growth up to 5; Pro is unlimited. Inventory templates can't be scheduled yet.
Metafield columns
Pin product metafield definitions as live grid columns: open the column chooser in the bulk editor, pick a definition under Metafield columns, and it appears as an editable column. Most metafield types edit inline with the same validation, dirty highlighting, undo, and Edit History treatment as every other cell: text (single- and multi-line), numbers, true/false, URLs, dates and date-times, colors, JSON, and measurements like weight, dimension, volume, rating, and money - measurements get a number field with a unit picker. Reference types (products, files, pages, metaobjects) and list types are shown read-only with a note explaining why. Free includes 5 metafield columns, Starter 10, Growth 15, and Pro unlimited - downgrading hides extra columns without deleting your selection.
Clearing works too: emptying a cell removes the metafield from the product on save, and Edit History reverts restore the previous state either way - a revert brings back the old value, or removes the field again if it was empty before the save.
Common questions
A bulk edit was applied incorrectly - can I undo it?
For pending edits still in the grid, use the Undo button in the bulk editor toolbar (or press Cmd+Z / Ctrl+Z). On paid plans, draft undo is preserved across sessions (30 days on Starter, 90 days on Growth, 180 days on Pro).
For changes already saved to Shopify, open Settings → Edit History (Pro) and use Revert on the save batch you want to roll back. All paid plans can view saved change history; reverting requires Pro.
Can I use BulkSheet on multiple stores?
Yes. Each Shopify store has its own install. If you manage multiple client stores, reach out and we'll get you set up.
